Hydrologic Cycle

When the air and land were clean, nature's weather cycle did a wonderful job of making pure, clean water. The sun's heat evaporated water from the oceans, lakes and streams turning the water into clouds, which condensed and fell as pure rain or snow (distillation). In nature, this process is called the Hydrologic Cycle.

Unfortunately, human activities, and in particular, industrial processes have interfered with the cycle and introduce various types of contaminants:

  • Solids, salts, pesticides from surface runoff
  • Various organic chemicals, inorganic acids, alkalis, and salts from industrial activities
  • Disinfectants and sanitizing agents from municipalities
  • Soluble and insoluble chemicals from accidental releases and spills

The introduction of contaminants has lead to a global problem: Increasing contamination

  • Fresh water scarcity is growing regionally
  • Scarce fresh water is increasingly contaminated
  • Centuries-old infrastructure is breaking down is some regions
  • Increasing populations worldwide where water levels are dropping

The media is constantly warning consumers of the contaminants in their drinking water. Boiling water warnings are occurring more regularly in some regions in the United States. Consumers are looking for ways to ensure that the water they and their families drink is safe and healthy.

More consumers are turning to home water treatment systems to provide safe and healthy water.

Sylvan Source takes nature's process and adds to it. Not only does the Sylvan Source Ultra Clean Water System distill the incoming water, it also degasses and demists the water to provide ultra-clean, delicious water.

Water the way nature intended, only better
